Kids don't know shit

I'm seeing for the first time that my friend circle is smaller than I imagined. The number of people I trust has gone down dramatically. Maybe it's natural, but it's a shame that I'm losing a best friend. Maybe I'm too old for best friends anyways. I'm ready to meet new people.

In other news new wolf parade album,
but this song and music video will remain my favorite.

Swim to the Sand Bar!

Yesterday was pretty niceee. A gang of us went to Long Beach Island to hang out at Kimmy's beach house. When we got to sit on the beach, a line of people having an out of body experience, I felt like that was a very memorable moment. We were all pretty happy and content. All the shit that we've been dealing with kind of disappeared. But I'm glad that I know my limit too, it's saving me from living in a totally surreal world.

The Orchestra of Europe

Yesterday I was in New York to see the Klimt exhibit at the Neue Museum. It was oh so beautiful, really good stuff. His art really doesn't have any other purpose than to look pretty. That's surprising because he's a twentieth century artist. But, his work is still in the art nouveau style and it's cool to see how he jazzed up seemingly ordinary paintings/portraits. Even his sketches are amazing and his subject choice is pretty interesting. His subjects are usually women but they are all shapes and ages. He really knows how to capture the human body and it seems almost classical except for the fact that a lot of his paintings are of girls masturbating. Kudos to a man who can make masturbation beautiful.

After the exhibit, I went to the cafe downstairs which is a) ridiculously expensive b) the menu is all in German and I am ignorant of the language and c) German people eat a lot of meat...sucks for me. When I got home I had to work a long day because of Passover but it wasn't so bad because it was done in a banquet style. The end of the day consisted of a lot of purging of emotion. I guess that was a good thing because today I woke up in a fantastic mood. Anyways, I'm going to try to accomplish something on this sleepy Sunday.

Die Nasty Dynasty

Things are changing pretty fast! I certainly hope that this is the start of a long tradition of lovely days.

S. Ignatii Ad Trallianos.

And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans.

THE BROAD-BACKED hippopotamus
Rests on his belly in the mud;
Although he seems so firm to us
He is merely flesh and blood.

Flesh and blood is weak and frail, 5
Susceptible to nervous shock;
While the True Church can never fail
For it is based upon a rock.

The hippo’s feeble steps may err
In compassing material ends, 10
While the True Church need never stir
To gather in its dividends.

The ’potamus can never reach
The mango on the mango-tree;
But fruits of pomegranate and peach 15
Refresh the Church from over sea.

At mating time the hippo’s voice
Betrays inflexions hoarse and odd,
But every week we hear rejoice
The Church, at being one with God. 20

The hippopotamus’s day
Is passed in sleep; at night he hunts;
God works in a mysterious way—
The Church can sleep and feed at once.

I saw the ’potamus take wing 25
Ascending from the damp savannas,
And quiring angels round him sing
The praise of God, in loud hosannas.

Blood of the Lamb shall wash him clean
And him shall heavenly arms enfold, 30
Among the saints he shall be seen
Performing on a harp of gold.

He shall be washed as white as snow,
By all the martyr’d virgins kist,
While the True Church remains below 35
Wrapt in the old miasmal mist.
